Stud Service
We are happy to consider stud enquiries from both Siamese and Oriental queens, but please note that Valentine is at limited stud, not public stud. Any queen must be snap tested 24 hours prior to arrival, and have current vaccination certificates. In addition, all matings must be approved by Kat Waddon of Schimmel Siamese and Orientals, as Valentine’s breeder.
Valentine’s stud accommodation is in his own room inside the house, and includes queen’s quarters to enable visiting girls to acclimatise to their surroundings. Queens will remain in their quarters during their stay, as we don’t allow them to run free with Valentine. They will however receive plenty of attention and affection! Queen owners are more than welcome to visit to meet our boy, and inspect the facilities available to your girl whilst she is on her honeymoon.
There are cat scratching posts, bedding, toys and fresh food and water in the stud room. Queen owners are welcome to bring their queen’s own bedding, toys and food etc to make their girl’s stay as comfortable as possible. We will require some advance notice of your queen’s normal diet, as we are a raw fed household, and don’t keep any commercial food in the house.
All matings will be fully supervised to minimise risk to Valentine and your girl. The usual length of stay will be three days, but this of course depends on how the queen reacts to the journey here, and if she is knocked off call as a result. Queen owners are more than welcome to stay in regular contact via email or telephone to keep abreast with progress. We can also take pictures if you would like.
On completion of the honeymoon, we will provide a mating certificate, receipt for your stud fee, mating pedigree, and a copy of Valentine’s own pedigree.
