Update

Sunday 21^st February

Well, this kitten diary sort of petered out once the babies started leaving home.  This wasn’t intentional, I just got bogged down with kitten paperwork, and work work, and things slipped rather.  Having had a slap on the wrist from my Dear Mad Auzzie, we both promised to get our diaries sorted out this weekend.   Kat's current diary is for the Chinese Takeways- do go and see if she has kept up her end of the bargain!

Yesterday, the final Tea, Assam, left home.  Due to several things going on for Lucinda, Assam’s new mum, he ended up staying with us until now.  Lucinda lives in Cornwall, so to make things a little easier, I took the opportunity to visit Kat in Oxford, and meet her there.  This kitten home is extra special in its own way because Lucinda already had Valentine’s full litter mate – Mr Rusty from the Magic Roundabouts.  I have seen pictures of how content all their fur kids are in front of the Aga, and am actually rather jealous!

The Teas leaving home has been very sad in some ways – they have all been such wonderful babies to have around.  But the new families they have gone to are all wonderful, so I have no worries about their well-being at all.  The roll of honour is as follows;

Peko – stays here as Da Vinci, posh name Chrestomanci Masterpiece In Red as our first home-bred girl.

China – lives with Simon, and is rather bossy with his new name Anubis, and posh name Chrestomanci Rapture Retold.

Oolong – lives with Louise and her Siamese girl Kato.  He is now known as Ollie, and has a posh name of Chrestomanci Made For Me.

Assam – has just gone to live with Lucinda, his posh name is Chrestomanci Rubicon’s Polka, and I await further news and what his new name will be.

Ceylon – has gone to live with Sheryl, who probably deserves a medal for taking on this little livewire.  Her day to day name will still be Ceylon, but her posh name is Chrestomanci Who’s Queen?

Chai – lives with my dear friend Emily, her sister Jo, and Jo’s Siamese lady Lily.  He is still Chai, and for posh purposes, is Chrestomanci Come Chai With Me.

Lotus – my darling gorgeous tortie girl lives with the lovely Kirsty, and is now Saffie.  Her posh name is Chrestomanci Bright Little Flame, and I think that is just what she will always be.
